Our Difference
At Phoenix Muscle & Fitness we don't use machines rather we turn you into a machine.
Machines do not replicate real life or real human movement and they remove the requirement of your body to stabilize itself (Core Strength) - in essence the machine does the stabilizing for you. You use far less muscles (and consequently far less calories) when you use a machine and they also isolate muscles from their surrounding muscle groups - this can lead to muscle imbalances and a range of problems.
We will make your body super strong, stable and almost bulletproof from injury. We will get you the best results and we guarantee it.
If you are sick of the gyms that promise you the world and then as soon as they have signed you up and have your money, you don't hear from them again and you are just another number, then now there is an alternative.

Qualifications:
- Cert III & Cert IV in Personal Training (YMCA)
- Fitness Queensland Registered
- Boot Camp Instructor
- 18 years in the Army (left as Major), with two Operational Tours
- Over 20 years experience in Fitness Training
- Unarmed Combat Instructor
- Muay Thai and Boxing Exponent for over 15 years
- Various martial arts experience such as Phillipino Stick Fighting and Karate
- Rock Climbing Instructor (Adventure Training Leader)
- Senior First Aid
- Leader Wilderness Advanced First Aid (LWAFA 2009)
- Bronze Medallion Surf Lifesaver

Physical Achievements:
- Have climbed to approx 6000m in the Himalayas (spent 1 month at over 4500m)
- Completed Avon Decent (157km WA Kayak race)
- Extensive rock climbing experience around Australia
- Planned and conducted many adventure training exercises around Australia
- Completed a snow survival course
- Competed in the Defence Force Downhill Skiing Championships
- Completed Three Olympic Distance Triathlons (times between 2:20 & 2:29)
- Completed Bribie Island Adventure Race 100km
